BAHASA INGGRIS BISNIS 2 - TUGAS 1



The Phrase
The phrase is a combination of two or more words that form a unity of meaning. The phrase isnt’t a sentence, because it doesn’t have the element of sentence (not show subject, predicate, or object). However, the phrase can be composing sentence which has a certain elements.
The characteristic of the phrase :
·         The phrase must consist
·         Have a grammatical function in the sentence
·         The phrase must have a grammatical meaning
·         The phrase is non predicative

The Sentence
The sentence is a combination of two or more words that produce a final understanding and intonation patterns. Elements forming the sentence consists of subject, predicate, object, and information. The above sentence is the type of news that sentence based on the content or information. This sentence is used to convey information to readers or listeners that they know the information or event is happening.

 The Difference
The phrase is a combination of two or more words which aren’t bound by subject and predicate, example: in offices, restaurants, hospitals.
The sentence is a combination of two or more words that form a unity of meaning minimal consists of subject and predicate and terminated by punctuation.

About 10 of the Sentence
    1.      President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s infrastructure ambition is opening opportunities, not only for construction firms, but also for bankers as more lenders are now setting their sights on the sector.
     2.      “We will aim to have infrastructure construction projects this year, especially in West Java,” Bank BJB president director Ahmad Irfan told a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday.
     3.      Commericial director Suartini said the bank was looking to finance several sections of the trans-Java toll road.
     4.      “It will depend on the readiness of the project. If the land acquisition is complete, then we will start disbursing the financing,” she said.
     5.      The commercial segment provided the second most in credit for the bank, after the consumer segment, in 2016.
     6.      However, it grew at a faster pace, at 17.2 percent year-on-year (yoy), compared to the consumer segment at 15.7 percent.
     7.      To support the credit growth the bank would issue Rp 2 trillion in bonds this year, aside from its third party funds, according to finance director Nia Kania.
     8.      “There was one existing debtor running the property business who has become our loyal customer. It caused big, bad loans,” he said.
      9.      Trimegah Securities analyst Angga Aditya Assaf said the bank’s net income growth this year would depend on the bank’s credit restructuring progress, especially in its sharia business.
      10.  “Bank BJB still has struggle with an assets quality problem in the sharia subsidiary,” he said.
